Dream the Forest Wild
During the months of November and December, fourth grade students visited the rainforests of Costa Rica. While there, they discovered El Bosque Eterno de los Niños, The Children's Eternal Rainforest, (BEN). They discovered that more than 20 years ago, children in more than 40 countries collected nearly $3 million to save about 50,000 acres of rainforest, now known as the BEN. Today, that work still continues. Children's artwork posted on the Dream the Forest Wild Web site (www.dreamtheforestwild.com) helps spread the word about this forest. This project helps provide ways that we can keep this forest wild forever.
Rather than create our own book to sell (we did not want to waste the paper) we created a video to illustrate the story of the rainforest and the children who saved it. If you enjoy our video, and would like to donate to the project you can visit the website below, or send donations directly to MCLUS and mention The Dream the Forest Wild Kids' Book Project.
